The past 48 hours saw an increase in the number of European and Russian flights to Hurghada International Airport, with the airport receiving 187 flights that carrying about 30,000 European and Russian tourists.
The airport recorded the highest rate of Russian flights in two days since the resumption of Russian flights to Hurghada after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, receiving 12 Russian flights coming from various Russian airports.

The Russian Consul General in Hurghada, Viktor Voropaev, said an increase in the number of Russian flights to Hurghada is expected, as soon as the decision to deal with the transfer of the Russian ruble to the Egyptian pound begins, which represents an additional advantage for tourists who come to Egypt.
He told Al-Masry Al-Youm that this decision will end the problem of remittances and will facilitate payments and purchases by Russian tourists.
