In photos: Alexandria celebrates International Day of Disabled Persons

Hundreds participated in a march in Alexandria on Friday to celebrate the International Day of Disabled Persons.

NGOs, associations and centers concerned with handicapped people organized the march on the Alexandria Corniche as part of the celebrations witnessed by the governorate on the International Day of Disabled Persons.

The march started from the Corniche and reached the Citadel of Qaitbay. Hundreds of children took part, as well as their families, officials of the associations and a number of officials in al-Jomrok District headed by Mohamed Saad, the secretary general of the district.

Participants in the march held a number of banners reading “It’s my right to work”, “It’s my right to express my opinion” and “It’s my right that society protects me”.
