Interim President Adly Mansour will head to Saudi Arabia on Monday, his first foreign visit since taking power in the wake of the July overthrow of Egypt's Islamist president, Mohamed Morsy.
A presidential delegation headed o Jeddah a few days ago, in preparation for Mansour's visit.
Mansour earlier told the London-based Al-Sharq Al-Awsat newspaper that he planned to express his thanks so Saudi Arabia for support offered to Egypt in recent months.
He added that he will discuss economic cooperation between the two countries with King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdel Aziz.
