The Interior Ministry is forming various committees to examine restructuring the ministry's apparatuses to suit its functions and current conditions in the country, said Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim at a meeting of security officials.
The minister said he has asked his assistants to review all security plans and develop them, taking into account new criminal techniques to prevent criminals taking advantage of any weaknesses the security services might have, a security source said.
Ibrahim apparently also pointed out the need to increase the presence of police at vital areas and institutions, and to exert effort to combat all forms of crime.
