To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the Irish Embassy in Cairo has chosen the Giza Pyramids as the location of a short film showing musician Micheál Ó hIarlaithe performing Irish music in the presence of the Ambassador of Ireland to Cairo Seán O’Regan, with the Pyramids in the backdrop.
They were received at the Pyramids by the General Manager of the area Ashraf Mohi al-Din.
The film will be aired in a special program broadcast on Irish national television on March 17, and will also be uploaded online to to better reach 70 million Irish citizens around the world.
