Israel admits to death of 28 soldiers in Hezbollah attacks

The AlQahera News Channel reported Israeli media confirming that 28 soldiers and civilians were killed in the north by Lebanon’s Hezbollah since confrontations began in October.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Sunday that “The ceasefire in Gaza Strip as part of a prisoner exchange deal does not mean stopping the fighting on the northern front.”

Gallant said, during his assessment of the situation on the Lebanese border, that even if an agreement is reached in the Gaza Strip, Israel will continue to fight Hezbollah until it is brought to a settlement.

He added that the exchange deal with Hamas will not force Israel to back down on the Lebanon front unless an agreement is reached afterwards with Hezbollah.
