The Jama'a al-Islamiya said there is a need to find a solution to the current crisis to achieve genuine reconciliation based on respect of the constitution and legitimacy and the achievement of the demands of Egyptians and the preservation of the Egyptian state and the military institution.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Jama'a al-Islamiya said it has proposed several initiatives to resolve the current crisis, put a stop to bloodshed, and guarantee a better future for the nation in which everyone takes part.
The Jama'a al-Islamiya renewed its call to all parties to reach a solution to prevent the further deterioration of the situation and to curb civil strife. The Jama'a al-Islamiya also emphasized that it will stick to peaceful means of protest.
