The joint military training drill ‘MEDUSA 13’ started on Tuesday in Greece and will continue for several days within the scope of the Mediterranean theater of operations.
Egyptian, Greek, Cypriot, French and Saudi air forces are participating alongside naval forces, air defense and special forces – with Italy, Bahrain, Rwanda, Bulgaria and Morocco as observers.
The drill includes implementing activities for the participating countries and joint planning to manage naval and air combat operations against all threats.
It also implements combat activities and non-standard shooting, reflecting the extent to which the participating forces have achieved advanced training in various specializations.
On the sidelines of the MEDUSA 13 drill, the special forces of the participating countries will also carry out the joint training exercises Mena III and Hercules III to exchange expertise and unify operational concepts among the participating forces.
The training comes within the framework of growing military partnership and cooperation relations with the armed forces of friendly countries.
