Jordan FM stresses that only two-state solution can bring peace to the middle east

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stressed on Tuesday that the solution to the Palestinian issue must involve the Palestinian people remaining on their land.

During an interview with AlQahera News channel, Safadi said that the only solution that guarantees security, peace and stability for all in the region is one that respects the rights of the Palestinian people, based on the two-state solution.

The Jordanian Foreign Minister continued: “Dialogue is essential. Our positions are strong and based on clear principles and clear logic. What we offer in Jordan, Egypt, and all Arab countries, we believe is capable of achieving peace and what the US President wants to achieve peace in the region as well.”

“What is between us in the Arab home is coordination and consultation, not dialogue. We agree on the principles, goals and starting points, and this is what we are working on and what we have always worked on.”

Safadi stressed that the upcoming Arab summit, hosted by Egypt will serve to reaffirm a unified Arab position and present solutions and proposals.
