Jordanian spy trial postponed further

The Supreme State Security Criminal Emergency Court on Tuesday postponed the trial of Bashar Abu Zaid, a Jordanian communications engineer, and another fugitive Israeli Intelligence officer, both accused of
spying for Israel, to 21 January for difficulty of transporting the accused from his prison.

The defendants are accused of passing international calls from Egypt to Israel for the latter to eavesdrop information about locations and number of army and police forces in a manner that is detrimental to national security.
