Judge Ahmed Mahfouz of the Misdemeanor Court of Hurghada ordered the detention on Thursday of the captain and second officer of the Kuwaiti vessel that killed Egyptian fishermen for 15 days pending investigation.
The defendants had been detained for four days after their ship collided in the Red Sea with an Egyptian boat named Badr al-Islam that was carrying 42 Egyptians. Thirteen were killed,13 were injured and the rest remain missing.
The police arrested the Kuwaiti ship's main four-member crew, and they were referred to prosecution for interrogation following the incident
