Kuwait’s Ali Al-Salem Air Base targeted by Iranian ballistic missiles

The Kuwaiti Armed Forces announced Saturday that the Ali Al-Salem Air Base was targeted by a series of ballistic missile strikes.

In a statement released by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, officials confirmed the base came under fire but highlighted the success of their defense systems. “We were able to successfully intercept and neutralize the threats,” the Ministry stated. Concurrently, Al Jazeera reported witnessing fresh aerial interceptions in the skies over Kuwait.

The missile activity comes amid a total collapse of regional civil aviation. International airlines have canceled or diverted flights across the Middle East following the large-scale US-Israeli offensive on Iran early Saturday morning. Several nations have responded by implementing total or partial airspace closures.

Iran has officially launched “Operation True Promise 4,” firing waves of missiles toward Israel in direct retaliation. Explosions have been reported across several major Iranian cities, including Tehran, Qom, Isfahan, and Kermanshah, as the conflict reaches a critical flashpoint.
