Largest fleet of Czech tour operators to visit Marsa Alam in January

The Red Sea resort of Marsa Alam, is due to receive its largest fleet of Czech Republican tour operators to date, from January 20 to 27, working to attract a greater number of tourists to the area.

A total of 80 Czech travel agencies will visit Marsa Alam, aiming to showcase to Czech Republic the beauty of Egypt’s tourism scene and paint it in a positive light as an attractive destination.

Egypt’s Tourism Promotion Authority invited the Czech travel agencies as part of the authority’s ongoing initiative to generate a greater inflow of tourists from various source countries.

Czech tourism is one of the most promising markets that is rapidly developing in Egypt,
as the number of incoming tourists from January to August 2017 increased by 150 percent, said Chairman of the Tourism Promotion Authority Hesham al-Demiry in October.

If Czech tourists’ inflow continues at the same pace, Egypt will receive 200,000 Czech tourists annually, he added.

Demiry pointed out that more than 90 percent of Czech tourists visit Egypt for beach tourism.
