Lawyers files challenge demanding suspension of verdicts given to Morsi

Lawyer Wafa’ey al-Desouky filed challenge on Thursday to State Council’s Supreme Administrative Court demanding suspension of death and life sentences given to former President Mohamed Morsi in criminal cases until his challenge is mulled.

Desouky challenged the verdict issued by Administrative Court over lack of jurisdiction in lawsuit that demanded canceling measures of ousting Morsi and nullifying decisions by the interim president Adly Mansour including ones on dissolving Shura Council and the Supreme Judiciary Council and appointing lawyers in judiciary.

The challenge was made against the president and ministers of justice and defense.
