Less rain, higher temperatures predicted this winter

A week separates the northern hemisphere from the winter season 2022, but weather during this December is exceptional, as the chances of rain ceased, and the temperatures rose above normal rates during this time of the year by ​​up to 2C.

Temperatures in the governorates of southern Upper Egypt are expected to record 31C, on Saturday, December 17.

Meteorologists announced that stability in weather conditions continues until Saturday, and the phenomenon of fog remains the dominant phenomenon during the morning hours, especially on agricultural roads and roads near water channels.

Mild autumnal weather will prevail during the day, while at night it remains cold.

Weather maps showed that the Egypt was affected by an air rise on the surface of the earth, with air masses increasing the feeling of warm temperatures, especially in sunlight hours.

But once the sun’s rays disappear, the temperatures drop significantly, especially in the late hours of the night and early morning.

Mist will increase significantly on Saturday and Sunday, which affects the horizontal vision, meteorologists said, advising citizens to wear light winter clothes during the day and keep a jacket during the night hours to wear it as soon as the weather cools down.

Thursday weather temperatures

Moderate weather is predicted during the day on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts, while hot weather is predicted in South Sinai and in the south of the country.

Temperatures are expected to reach 25C in Cairo during the daytime hours, and 17C at night.

In Alexandria the maximum is predicted at 25C, and the minimum at 13C.

In governorates of northern Upper Egypt (Fayoum, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, and Beni Suef), the maximum is 26C and the minimum 10C.

In the governorates of southern Upper Egypt (Qena, Aswan, Luxor, and Abu Simbel) the maximum is 28C and the minimum 14C.
