Security authorities at the Cairo International Airport discovered a stash of hashish on one of two companions travelling with the Libyan Planning Minister Isa Ali Abdel Rahman. The man, Abdel Rahman’s secretary, was banned from travel.
An airport security source said that Abdel Rahman had arrived at the airport on Sunday evening to board an Egyptian plane bound for Addis Ababa along with two of his companions.
The source went on to say that upon searching the man, security members found an 18 gram piece of hashish in one of his socks.
The source added that airport security administration filed a report on the incident and canceled the man’s travel plans, while Abdel Rahman boarded the plane, leaving behind his assistant along with his secretary.
