Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Thursday met with Egypt’s candidate for the Director General of the World Trade Organization, Abdel Hamid Mamdouh.
Mamdouh briefed Madbouly on the nomination’s details and the contacts made by the Foreign Ministry to mobilize international support for his nomination, including from friendly African and Arab countries.
The nominee also discussed the meetings he held at regional and international levels.
Madbouly heaped praised towards the expertise the Egyptian candidate acquired during the 27 years he spent working with the World Trade Organization, and that these experiences grant his nomination strength and credibility.
The government through a high-level diplomatic move plan will support Mamdouh within the coming period, Madbouly assured.
