Manager for Lebanese singer Fadl Chaker denies reports that he will hold concert in Egypt

The manager for Lebanese singer Fadel Chaker denied the existence of any agreement on Shaker holding a concert in Egypt or anywhere else.

Shaker’s official Instagram account issued a statement, written: “Dear fans, I would like to inform you that, to date, no concert has been announced for Fadel Chaker in any country around the world. The company authorized to launch the artist’s first concert after his return is Beach Mark.”

“Announcements will be made through official accounts only, so please be careful and not be swayed by any misleading news or advertisements.”

This statement came in response to concert organizer and producer Walid Mansour’s announcement that he was organizing a major concert for Shaker’s return to Egypt, his first concert since returning from retirement years ago.

Mansour claimed that he had agreed with Shaker’s manager, on the broad outlines for organizing his first concert in Egypt after years of hiatus, as his legal status in Lebanon imposed certain conditions.

He also claimed that the concert will be held in the heart of the Pyramids area, where the location had been agreed upon.

This year, Chaker released eight new songs that have garnered nearly 260 million views on YouTube, including four songs released in the past two months, one of which featured his son, Mohamed Fadel Chaker.

Mohamed Shaker had previously confirmed his father’s innocence of the 2018 charge of rebelling against the Lebanese army, but the media did not shed light on it at the time.

He noted that his father still faces other charges unrelated to the previous case, including embezzlement and money laundering worth US$ 130,000 and currently resides in the Ain al-Hilweh camp.
