Meteorologists warn of sharp weather fluctuations

Meteorologists warned of sharp and rapid fluctuations in weather conditions in the fall season, and appealed to citizens to follow the weather bulletins issued by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority on a daily basis.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority anticipates hot weather to prevail in Greater Cairo, the northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, with very hot weather in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt next week.

Mists are expected to form in the morning on some agricultural and highway roads close to water channels.

A drop in weather temperatures is expected starting Sunday, by a value up to four degrees in all areas.

Rainfall of varying intensity is expected in areas of the north of the country at intermittent intervals, heralding cooler autumn weather.

Active winds are expected in areas of Greater Cairo, the northern coasts, South Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.

Meteorological satellites monitored active winds on areas of the western coast, South Sinai, and the south of the country at intermittent intervals.

 

Maximum temperatures predicted on Saturday:

  • Northern coasts 30C
  • Cairo and Lower Egypt 35C
  • South Sinai 39C
  • Northern Upper Egypt 39C
  • Southern Upper Egypt 44C

On Saturday, rainfall is expected on areas of the far northwestern coast at intermittent intervals.

Active wind is expected in areas of Greater Cairo, the northern coasts, South Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals.

 

Maximum temperatures predicted on Sunday:

  • Northern coasts 30C
  • Cairo and Lower Egypt 35C
  • South Sinai 39C
  • Northern Upper Egypt 39C
  • Southern Upper Egypt 44C

Rain is expected on Sunday across areas of the northern coast, northern Lower Egypt, the Western Desert, the Suez Canal cities, Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and far south of the country at intermittent intervals.

Active, intermittent winds are predicted on throughout the northwestern coasts, South Sinai, and North Upper Egypt.

 

Will heat waves continue?

Meteorologists ruled out the possibility of more heat waves this autumn.

The fall season bears the characteristics of both summer and winter, with the first half closer to summer, and the second half to winter, it added.
