The Egyptian Meteorological Authority warned of unstable weather conditions until Monday.
The authority announced the expected weather from Friday, December 31, to Monday, January 3, 2022. The authority did not announce the expected temperatures during that period, as the country is witnessing a state of instability in weather conditions in areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt.
Cold weather will continue during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts, moderate in northern Upper Egypt, warm in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt, very cold at night, reaching the point of frost in central Sinai.

Medium to heavy rain and thunderstorms that may be accompanied by hail at times is expected at a rate of 50-70 percent on areas of the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, Suez Canal cities and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods that may reach torrential rains in areas of Sinai and the Gulf of Suez.
Light rains are expected at 30 percent on areas of southern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods, as well as active wind on areas of the northeastern coasts, Sinai and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods.

Medium to heavy rain and thunderstorms that may be accompanied by hail at times is expected at a rate of 50-70 percent over areas of the Suez Canal cities. It may reach torrential rain in areas of Sinai and the Red Sea Governorate at intermittent periods.
Medium rain and thunderstorms are expected at a rate of 60-50 percent on areas of the northwestern coast, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods, beside active wind in areas of southern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods.

Medium to heavy rain and thunderstorms that may be accompanied by hail are expected at times at a rate of 50-70 percent on areas of the northern coasts, northern Lower Egypt, the cities of the Suez Canal and North Sinai at intermittent periods.
Moderate and sometimes scattered rain is expected at 50 percent on areas of southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, intermittently. It may reach torrential rains in areas of Sinai and the Red Sea Governorate.
Active wind is predicted on areas of the northwestern coast and South Sinai at intermittent periods.
