Meteorologists warn of wave of cold weather across Egypt

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority warned of a cold wave, starting from Tuesday, December 20, until Sunday, December 25.

Rain is expected in some areas of Greater Cairo while temperatures will drop, and visibility will decrease on the roads due to the spread of clouds.

Wind activity will disrupt maritime navigation, with high waves in the sea.

A sudden drop in temperatures is predicted starting Wednesday, December 21.

On Tuesday, light rainfall is predicted on the northern coasts and north of Lower Egypt, at intermittent intervals.

Rainfall is expected in areas of southern Lower Egypt and the cities of the Suez Canal, and it may reach Cairo during the night hours at intermittent intervals.

Active wind is predicted on areas of the northwestern coasts at intermittent intervals.

Mists are expected on agricultural areas and highways near water channels, desert roads, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Maritime navigation will be disrupted, with waves rising three meters above sea level, and wind speeds recording 60 km per hour.
