The Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation on Monday warned against entering metro stations and metro vehicles without wearing a face mask, adding violators must pay a fine of LE50.
The transport police have tightened their procedures by obligating passengers to wear a mask before entering stations and boarding vehicles.
The announcement comes at a time when the company continued to disinfect metro stations and vehicles on the first and second lines throughout the day, as part of precautionary measures against coronavirus.
