Police and military troops have arrested 21 terrorist during raids at several areas in cities of Arish, Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Military Spokesperson Ahmed Mohamed Ali said on Facebook that four extremists, who were allegedly tracking security elements in Sheikh Zuwaid, and other 17 extremists, some of whom escaped from Wadi al-Natrun prison during 2011 revolution, were arrested.
Two stores were found that authorities say the extremists used for preparing the bombs and storing the ammunition, Ali added on Wednesday. Eight vehicles, seven motorbikes without license plates or legal documents were destroyed.
Eight alleged terrorist havens were burned. Eight tunnels in Rafah were destroyed.
