The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts cold weather in the early morning, with moderate temperatures during the day across most of the country, while nighttime temperatures will remain cold in most areas.
Alexandria and the Nile Delta governorates will be affected by the Al-Fayda Al-Sughra storm.
Fog is expected in the morning on agricultural and highway roads, particularly in the northern regions, extending to Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai, which may be dense at times.
Light to moderate rain is expected along the northeastern coast and Sinai, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in some areas, potentially leading to flash floods in limited locations.
There is also a chance of intermittent rain in Lower Egypt governorates, the Suez Canal cities, and the Gulf of Suez.
The EMA anticipates active winds, which will increase the coldness.
It also indicated that maritime navigation will be disrupted in some areas of the Mediterranean and Red Seas, with high waves, necessitating caution for maritime navigation.
Temperatures expected on Wednesday:
- Cairo and Matrouh: 20C
- Alexandria: 21C
- Hurghada and Luxor: 22C
- Sharm El-Sheikh and Aswan: 23C
