Meteorologists anticipate cold weather in northern Egypt and northern Upper Egypt on Thursday, with more moderate temperatures predicted for southern Upper Egypt.
The weather across the country is expected to grow very cold by nightfall.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16C in Cairo, 17C in Alexandria, 18C in Qena, 19C in Luxor, Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada, and 20C in Aswan and Marsa Alam.
Fog is predicted to impact visibility on roads in Cairo and Lower Egypt, and low- and medium-level clouds are anticipated across most parts of the country, accompanied by rainfall along the northern coasts, parts of Lower Egypt and along the Red Sea mountains.
Winds will be mostly northwestern and active on the northern coasts, the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, possibly disturbing maritime navigation there.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be rough, ranging between 2.5 and three meters in height, with northwestern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, with northeastern surface winds.
