Morsy supporters end SCC protest

Supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsy left the vicinity of the Supreme Constitutional Court on Thursday, after rallying there.

Protesters marched together in the direction of Dar al-Salam neighbourhood.

Pro-Morsy demonstrators said they will head towards the Rabaa al-Adaweya Mosque to join other Morsy supporters, protesting against what they call a "coup against legitimacy."

Security forces surrounded them as they walked away from the SCC, some driving while others walked in the direction of the Dar al-Salam Metro station.

Security forces in charge of securing the SCC had earlier dispersed Muslim Brotherhood supporters away from the court building, before Adly Mansour, the new country's interim president, left the court.

As they left, Morsy supporters held pictures of the ousted president and chanted slogans condemning his dismissal.

Chants of "Down with military rule" and "Adly is void" could be heard outside.

A group of female protestors cried as the protest dispersed.
