Moussa meets Libyan revolutionaries

Amr Moussa, general-secretary of the Arab League, met a delegation of Libyan revolutionaries on Saturday. They stressed the urgent need for Arab countries to recognize the Libyan Transitional National Council, headed by Mustafa Abdel-Geleel.

This comes ahead of a meeting of Arab countries' foreign ministers in Egypt to discuss a possible no-fly zone over Libya, which would impede Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi's air strikes against rebels in the east of the country.

Tahani Suleiman Mubarak, a member of the Libyan opposition's delegation, said the delegation is authorized by the Transitional National Council to meet Moussa to demand that League officials and Arab foreign ministers take action against Qadhafi's regime to stop the current bloodshed.

Tahani said the delegation also asked Moussa to replace the current Libyan flag with the flag of Libyan independence.

According to the Libyan delegates, Moussa said he supports Libyan rebels and action that would stop the bloodshed, but "it is too early to discuss the issue of the flag."
