Mubarak corruption lawsuit referred to State Commissioners

The Administrative Court of the State Council referred on Tuesday the lawsuit filed by Samir Sabry to the State Commissioner'a Authority, seeking a legal opinion.

In his lawsuit, Sabry demanded that the president form a fact-finding committee to prepare a report on corruption crimes committed under former President Hosni Mubarak.

He claimed that the criminal court did not acquit Mubarak, but rather convicted him of embezzlement of state funds, with the help of local business figures.

Other charges cited in the lawsuit include election fraud, corruption and contributing to the spread of poverty.
