Mubarak’s lawyer rests his case, court adjourns to 6 August

Mubarak’s lawyer Farid al-Deeb ended his fourth and final argumentation before the Cairo Criminal Court, which is hearing the trial of former President Hosni Mubarak, his sons Alaa and Gamal, former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and six of his top aides, a case known as the “Trial of the Century.”

Deeb pleaded innocent on behalf of Mubarak and his sons.

The court decided to adjourn to 6 August to hear the closing statement of the Public Prosecution.

Judge Mahmoud al-Rashidy said doctors recommended to transfer Mubarak back to the Maadi Military Hospital.
