Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of former President Hosni Mubarak until 14 September.
The trial, against Mubarak, his two sons, former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and Adly's aides, dealt with the deaths of protesters during Egypt's January 25 revolution in 2011.
The Cairo court also decided to form a five-member committee led by an expert on natural gas to examine the retrial case facing Mubarak and businessman Hussein Salem, who are both charged with exporting natural gas to Israel at prices lower than international rates.
The five-member committee will be expected to submit its final report within 30 days after the trial resumes on 14 September.
