Mubarak’s portrait removed from cabinet

Cabinet employees removed former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s portrait from their meeting room on Sunday to mark the end of his three-decade rule.

The portrait–which was hung in the hall where Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq held first the caretaker cabinet meeting–was exchanged for a plaque bearing the inscription "Allah."

Mubarak’s portraits were hung in many public and private establishments, but are now disappearing from view.
