Muslim Brotherhood figure Mohamed Zidan said a partnership will soon develop between revolutionary groups, the Brotherhood and the National Alliance Supporting Legitimacy (NASL), which supports deposed President Mohamed Morsy, to confront what he described as “the regime’s oppressive practices.”
Zidan told Al-Masry Al-Youm that communications take place between the group and the revolutionary forces which took part in 25 January revolution to stage protests at squares over the coming days. He referred to a real will to reject the ‘coup.’
“Revolutionary forces and the Muslim Brotherhood have learned from mistakes of the past. They will remain united to topple the current authority and put an end to former President Mubarak’s regime and his remnants,” he added.
Zidan stressed that the Muslim Brotherhood and NASL will not flash Rabaa al-Adaweya signs, but will only flash others against coup.
He added that the issuance of the controversial protest law and dispersing demonstrations that reject the law have revealed ‘the oppressive regime.’ NASL and the Brotherhood will take part in protests called for by other revolutionary forces to voice demands of releasing political detainees and reject the protest law.
