Cairo airport authorities seize drugs smuggled by Dutch passenger

Cairo International Airport authorities have said they seized large amounts of drugs that a Dutch passenger was attempting to smuggle into Egypt yesterday.

The passenger arrived in Cairo on 20 April from Istanbul. His luggage was lost and then found, and he was summoned to collect it.

Two hundred grams of hashish, 6 grams of opium, 1.25 kilograms of marijuana and 30 grams of narcotic pills were found in his bag, airport authorities said.
