NAC blasts Egyptian-Americans for failing to sign on to reform demands

Abdel Gelil Mostafa, coordinator of the National Association for Change (NAC) reform movement, told a delegation representing the Alliance of Egyptian Americans (AEA), which is currently visiting Cairo, that he was "disappointed" by the small number of Egyptian expatriates in the United States that had signed on to the NAC's political reform demands.

“Unlike other expatriate organizations, the AEA accepts members irrespective of religious or political orientation,” Mostafa said. “That's why I expected them to be more responsive.”

Mostafa went on to urge the AEA to encourage Egyptian expatriates to participate in next year’s presidential elections and keep them informed about domestic Egyptian political issues.
