NASL calls for demos on Friday

The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL) called for a million-man march on Friday to Tahrir and Rabaa al-Adaweya squares.

The march was originally called for by the Muslim Brotherhood.

“Egypt has become an angry volcano that no one knows when it will explode, and that will not be stopped by the stupidity of the regime that fabricates bombings and terrorism, nor will it be stopped by Mubarak’s counter-revolution,” the NASL said in a statement.

For its part, the “Youth against the Coup” movement also announced marches from several mosques in Cairo and Giza down to the Al-Qubba presidential palace.

Movement coordinator Ahmed Abdallah said the security solutions that the regime opted for will not stop the opposition, adding that demonstrations will be peaceful.
