The CEO of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization Ahmed Ghnem announced the museum’s opening hours during Ramadan as 9:00 am to 3:00 pm daily.
In an upcoming meeting, the museum will discuss a proposal by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Anany to open the museum after Iftar meal on specific days, Ghnem added.
The museum opened its doors to visitors on April 4 following Saturday’s transfer of 22 royal mummies from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, which will be ready for display at the Royal Mummies Hall starting from April 18.
The price of a visitor’s ticket for an Egyptian is LE60, an Egyptian student is LE30, a foreign visitor is LE200, and a foreign student is LE100.
The museum’s board of directors agreed to grant a 50 percent discount on the ticket price to Egyptians and foreigners for a period of two weeks, starting from April 4 to the 17th to visit the main exhibition hall.
In celebration of the inauguration of the mummies and central exhibition hall at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, the Chairman of the “Kenouz Egypt Factory for Archaeological replicas” Hisham Shaarawy announced a 20 percent discount on all company products until May 5.
