Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has welcomed the idea of releasing 10 more hostages for every additional day of truce.
“We can release more kidnapped in exchange for additional days of truce, and I informed US President Joe Biden that we will return after the truce to achieve the goals of the war,” he explained.
The White House said in a statement, “Biden and Netanyahu discussed stopping the fighting and increasing additional humanitarian aid to Gaza. Netanyahu thanked Biden for his efforts in reaching the agreement and implementing it, and that Biden and Netanyahu agreed to continue working to release all hostages.”
Israeli President Isaac Herzog previously said in press statements that “The truce in Gaza will be extended if Hamas releases more hostages.”
“The truce will be extended for an additional day for every 10 hostages that Hamas releases.”
