The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities refuted reports claiming that Britain and the US had warned their citizens against traveling to Egypt.
In a statement on Saturday the ministry assured that there been no change in the travel advice of either country to Egypt.
It explained that the last update regarding travel recommendations for Egypt in the UK was on April 26, and on May 10 for the US.
These latest updates did not include any warnings against traveling to Egypt, the ministry said.
The ministry urged all social media users to take caution in avoiding rumors and seeing accuracy, communicating with the before posting information that is not based on fact.
