The Opera House will stage a concert next Thursday in commemoration of the 39th anniversary of artist Farid al-Atrash’s death. The National Arab Music Ensemble will perform at the concert led by Maestro Selim Sahab.
Several songs by Atrash will be played.
Atrash is well-known singer and composer, often referred to as the King of Oud. He belonged to the Al-Atrash family from Druz, Syria, and died in 1974 at the age of 64.
