CAIRO, Feb 4 (MENA) – Palestine’s Ambassador in Cairo and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Diab Allouh thanked President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for his support for the Palestinian cause during the ongoing war on Gaza.
Speaking to MENA while visiting the Cairo International Book Fair in New Cairo on Sunday, the Palestinian diplomat also commended the Egyptian people for their solidarity with the people of Palestine throughout history.
He hailed Cairo’s unequivocal stance in favor of putting an immediate, sustainable, and unconditional end to the ongoing aggression on Gaza, as well as Cairo’s categorical rejection of any attempts to displace and uproot Palestinians from their own land.
Allouh also highlighted Egypt’s major role in facilitating delivery of relief into the Palestinian besieged enclave trough Rafah border crossing, thanking Egyptian authorities for keeping the Rafah border crossing open around the clock.
Allouh also thanked the Egyptian government, and the minister of culture in particular, for dedicating a special pavilion for Palestine at the 55th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, held under the slogan “Creating Knowledge: Preserving the Word,” from January 25 till February 6.(MENA)
