Former King of Egypt, Ahmed Fuad II, celebrated his visit with his son to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in the Fustat area of Cairo.

The former King and his son, Mohamed Ali Farouk, visited the NMEC, accompanied on their tour by al-Tayyeb Abbas, the museum’s director.

The son of the former King of Egypt commented on his visit to the museum, writing in a post on his Facebook account: “The NMEC holds a unique place in Egypt’s museum landscape. It does not merely display treasures — it tells the story of Egypt in its continuity, from prehistory to the present, highlighting every dimension of its civilization: spiritual, material, scientific, and human.”

“While the Grand Egyptian Museum may attract the spotlight, we continue to support the NMEC for what it represents: a living museum, rooted in the city, where past and present meet, and where the Egyptian people stand at the heart of the narrative. I am proud to be one of the founding members of the NMEC Friends Association,” he added.
