Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said Egypt has promising opportunities in the fields of green hydrogen and renewable energy.

The premier made his remarks on Monday during a meeting with his Belgian counterpart Alexander De Croo and representatives of a Belgian consortium specialized in the domains of energy and green hydrogen on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), currently hosted by Egypt.

Madbouly said Egypt looks forward to making use of the expertise of respective Belgian companies, noting that the government is ready to provide all forms of support to increase investments in green hydrogen in Egypt.

The representatives said they are keen to cooperate with electricity, renewable energy and green hydrogen sectors in Egypt.
