A policeman on Thursday died while policemen were chasing an outlaw in the southern city of Sohag. A bystander was injured with a bullet in his leg when the outlaw fired at the police.
The outlaw, Khaled al-Sayyed, who was convicted in seven cases of manslaughter, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed weapon, managed to run away.
