Various political forces have called for a million-strong demonstration on Friday under the slogan of ‘Reclaiming the Revolution.’ Protesters are to demand abolishing the emergency law and military tribunals for civilians, and request the transfer of power to civilian authorities by February.
“We'll request applying the treachery law to Mubarak and regime stalwarts,” said Mohamed Abu al-Ela, leading member of the Nasserist Party.
Saad al-Katatny, secretary general of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, said the party would determine its position regarding the demonstration during a meeting on Wednesday.
