Egypt’s Copts leader Pope Tawadros II will begin touring France, the Netherlands and Austria on Thursday.
During his five-day visit to the Netherlands, the pope will inaugurate five new churches, head the Sunday mass and meet with Egyptian Copts there.
He will then head to France and Austria on a two-week visit during which he will head a conference on Coptic churches in the Diaspora. He will also undergo medical checkups.
The pope will be back in Cairo on May 20 to lead the Pentecost mass.
