The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) concluded an agreement with Portuguese Rui Vitoria to coach Egypt’s national football team, succeeding Ihab Galal.
The official social media accounts of the EFA published a video clip, in which Vitoria appeared alongside Hazem Imam, after confirming the completion of the agreement.
Rui will receive US$ 200,000 a month, and will have four assistants, including a goalkeeper coach.
The contract concluded between the two parties stipulates the existence of a penalty clause of three months ($600,000).
Imam, a member of the EFA and the one in charge of selecting a new coach for the national football team, had traveled to Portugal to hold several sessions with Vitoria and to agree on the terms of the proposed contract.
