President Sisi’s Washington visit postponed indefinitely: Al-Arabiya channel

The “Al-Arabiya” channel reported Egyptian sources confirming President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s visit to Washington has been postponed until further notice.

The sources indicated that “Cairo is angry about the statements from Israel and the US and has sent a clear message to Washington.”

“Egypt rejected three proposals regarding Gaza, all of which involve displacement and not returning,” the sources added.

They also revealed to Al-Arabiya on Tuesday evening that “Egypt will not allocate a piece of land for the residents of Gaza, and Egypt has closed the door on the proposal to allocate land for the residents of Gaza.”

US President Donald Trump received Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Tuesday evening, according to the “Cairo News” channel.

Trump stated during his meeting with the Jordanian monarch that,”We want to transfer two million people from Gaza, and this is not difficult and does not constitute ethnic cleansing.”

He continued, “We will not buy Gaza, and there is no reason to do so; we will control it, and our plan will contribute to bringing peace to the region.”

“We will make the Gaza Strip a rich area that provides thousands of jobs, and Gaza will be a jewel and one of the most important assets that will bring peace to the Middle East,” the US President concluded.
