Private sector workers are entitled to a two-day vacation from the three-day Islamic Eid al-Fitr feast, which begins on June 15, the Manpower and Immigration Ministry said on Monday.
Minister Mohamed Saafan said the vacation for the private sector includes the first, and second day of the feast.
However, Saafan did explain that companies have the right to ask employees to work during Eid depending on job requirements, but are still legally obliged to pay double-time to those who work during a holiday.
