The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy and Reject the Coup announced on Thursday morning organizing protests under the slogan "Rabaa: the icon of the revolution," starting Friday.
The Alliance said in a statement that the demonstrations would commemorate the passage of six months since the violent dispersal of toppled President Mohamed Morsy's supporters in Rabaa al-Adaweya and al-Nahda squares on 14 August 2013.
"Let us continue the revolutionary movement using peaceful and creative means of resistance in a majestic week, marking the passage of six months over Rabaa al-Adaweya and al-Nahda holocausts," the statement read.
