Pro-Mubarak group says Brotherhood threatened them

The administrators of the official Facebook page for Arab lawyers who volunteered to defend former President Mubarak said Friday that Muslim Brotherhood leaders have threatened to imprison them.

The page has been calling for protests against the Brotherhood and the Freedom and Justice Party. The administrators of the group also tweeted, “The revolution is coming against the Muslim Brotherhood and Mohamed Morsy.”

“Brotherhood leaders, including Saad al-Husseini and Mohamed al-Beltagy, continue to threaten us. They say they will imprison us if we continue calling for protests and another revolution,” the administrators wrote on the page.

“The threats were made on Friday morning during a telephone call between one of the page administrators and a leader in Beltagy’s office,” the statement alleged.

“We will confront all attempts to terrorize us with strength, and we will fully support a new revolution to bring down the rule of the supreme guide and the Brotherhood,” the administrators added, saying that they fear no one but God.

“How do you terrorize people today, while you used to accuse State Security of that?” the statement continued.

“Even if we are arrested and the page is shut down, there are others who will continue the journey. It is clear that our movement scares them, so we will go on.”
